MISSION: Feeding a Family of Four
Sounds simple right? If you're a mom, you probably know what a chore it is to plan out your weekly meals, put together a grocery list, go to the store, search for good deals, and come home to cook for family. Some members of the family may be willing to eat whatever is set in front of them while others turn their noses up at everything you make. You probably struggle to find meals that fit within your time constraints, want to try something new, or just don't want to do much at all because well let's face it, you're tired. Sound familiar? Trust me, you're not alone.
My mission is to continue to find new recipes that I think my family will enjoy (even the little picky one) and share them. I'm always trying to keep things fresh, find something new that I can make without slaving away at it all day - especially on nights when I know my time is extremely limited. I love to experiment and try to recreate my own version of restaurant dishes at home too.
Although I'm working on streamlining my daily tasks to have an organized life, there are still days when I know I just don't have time to spend standing in the kitchen cutting and cooking a meal. My trusty companion, my crockpot, is going to help me make dinner one those nights when I'm on a time crunch. Oh how I love my crockpot! Throw some stuff in, turn it, on and forget it. It's a life-saver.
Keep checking back as I'll be adding different sections to my food blog including meals that go "back to the basics", dinner under $5, and crockpot meals.
