Welcome to Mission: Mom. I am glad you are joining me on my journey to creating a balanced life.
about me
My name is Cindy and I am a stay-at-home mother of two. My son is a sophomore in high school and my daughter is in second grade. My husband works for a local university doing what he loves most, computer geek stuff.
Sometimes called "Super Mom" (though I like using the term "Domestic Goddess" LOL) by those who know me best, some of my friends are baffled by my ability to juggle volunteering at my daughter's school, guiding a energetic group of 7 year old Girl Scouts, chauffeuring my children between various activities in addition to accomplishing the various tasks of being a Mom. After giving it some thought, I decided to create a blog to show everyone how I do it.
I remember a conversation I had with my own Mom - we were talking about all the things I'd been doing around the house that day. She made a comment that I wasn't sure if I should have felt happy or offended at the time - she said "I hate to say it, but you're a 50's housewife living in a time when it's not acceptable". Reflecting back, I'm not bothered by that statement I'm happy she appreciates what I do for my family. Aside from my daily tasks of cleaning, laundry, getting kids ready for school, and running errands - I love to cook. Not only do I love to cook, I love to make things from scratch - pastas, breads, soups, ice cream, cakes, etc. Plus, I am always looking for a recipe to try that doesn't break the bank.

MISSION:MOM
At Mission: Mom, you will be able to follow me through my journey of making it all work and learn some of the tricks I have up my sleeve to stay organized, save time, and put my frugal skills to the test on saving money.
Like you, I have been scouring the Internet on ways to improve my families lives whether I am searching for a way to save money, find a crafty solution to a household problem, find inexpensive healthy meals, or simply looking for a new way to organize things. I've found solutions and created my own solutions when I just can't find what I'm envisioning. I realized that I'm not the only Mom out there looking for ways to create balance in their life, but sometimes they just don't know how to do it at no fault of their own. My goal is help these Moms (or Dads).
