Today's breakfast mission was something savory, not sweet. I decided to make another family favorite I found several years ago in my Kraft Food and Family magazines. This is one of the few ways I can get my daughter to eat eggs and she loves it! I usually have most of the ingredients on hand, so this is very inexpensive to make - especially if you already have the cheese or ham on hand from another meal you have planned. The one change I made to this recipe is that I do not use as much cheese as recommended simply to cut out extra calories; however, if you wish to follow the original recipe add 1 cup of each cheese instead of 1/2 cup.
Here's what you'll need:
Breakfast Bake
1/2 cup Mozzarella, shredded
1/2 cup Cheddar, shredded
6 eggs
1/2 tsp black pepper
8 oz ham
1/2 cup milk
1 pkg crescent rolls

1/2 cup Cheddar, shredded
6 eggs
1/2 tsp black pepper
8 oz ham
1/2 cup milk
1 pkg crescent rolls
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Begin by unrolling the crescent rolls. Place the crescent rolls in a 9x13, flatten, and press together. Take care to press seams together.
I used the Great Value deli ham. Chop into bite size pieces.
Spread the chopped ham on top of the crescent roll crust.
In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, and black pepper.
Even spread the egg mixture to the casserole dish.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Place in preheated oven and bake approximately 30 minutes or until casserole has set and cheese is melted.
Serve with your favorite fruit or juice.
