Tonight's dinner mission comes from a recipe my mother-in-law shared with me several years ago. I've had the recipes for all this time and never got around to trying it. Last month, we went to visit my in-laws and my mother-in-law made this one night for dinner. It was tasty, super inexpensive (about $5 to serve a family of four), and so simple to make that I decided this was definitely worth making at home.

Oriental Beef Recipe
2 packages Oriental Beef Ramen
1 lb ground beef
2 cups water
1 can waterchestnuts
2 packages Oriental Beef Ramen
1 lb ground beef
2 cups water
1 can waterchestnuts
Begin by browning your ground beef. Here I used Ground Chuck because it was on sale for $2.27 lb!
Once you have browned your ground beef, drain it from grease then place in a bowl to season.
Add one season packet from the Ramen Oriental Noodles to your ground beef. Reserve the second packet which will be used in a few steps.
Next measure 2 cups of water.
In the skillet you browned your ground beef, break up both packets of noodles. Add second packet of seasoning, ginger, and water chestnuts.
Cook on medium-high heat about 8 to 10 minutes, until noodles are cooked and water has evaporated.
Return your browned ground beef to the pan and stir to combine ingredients. Reduce heat to low to keep warm while you cook the potstickers.
Now for the potstickers. So easy and only takes about 10 minutes.
In about 3 tablespoons of oil (enough to coat the bottom of your pan well enough that the potstickers will not stick), add frozen potstickers.
Lightly brown your potstickers on all sides. Once you have browned them on all sides, add one cup of water to your pan. Cover and cook for 8 minutes.
